Taj-ul-Masjid

Taj-ul-Masjid is a 19th century mosque with a magnificent structure. The sprawling mosque is situated in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh As one of the most elegant buildings in Bhopal it stands tall with a pink facade. The words Taj-ul-Masjid literally means ‘The Crown of Mosques’. True to its name it is one of the largest mosques in India and one of the most important to the Muslims in India. The building offers impressive views and is crowned with two massive white – domed minarets.

Lakshmi Narayan Temple (Birla Mandir)

Birla Manir also holds a museum where one could find a rich collection of sculptures thatdates back to the 12th century. The temple, with its ancient charm and the surrounding greenery of the rambling loans, provides a divine feeling to the devotee

Shaukat Mahal

The Shaukat Mahal of Bhopal once served as the palace of Bhopal Nawab and is truly an architectural beauty. The triangular – shaped arches adorn the ceiling of Shaukat Mahal and the sprawling alabaster – white building is patterned with intrinsic floral patterns on its outer walls. The adjoining brick red building of Sadar Manzil served as a Hall of Public Audience.
